How can I prevent pilling and maintain the quality of my AirEssentials Pique product?
Pilling can happen with even the highest quality fabrics, and our premium modal fabric should be handled with care. Due to the textured nature of AirEssentials Pique styles, be careful when dressing or wearing so that it doesn't catch on jewelry, bags, and more.
To help prevent pilling:
- Wash your AirEssentials Pique style inside-out in a mesh bag for delicates to reduce friction during washing.
- Machine-wash in cold water with like colors.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- If needed, iron on low heat.

What can I do if my AirEssentials starts pilling?
You can use a sweater stone, comb or fabric shaver to gently remove pills from the surface of the fabric:
- Lay your garment flat on a firm surface.
- Use short, gentle strokes, holding the shaver at an angle so that only one side of the blades makes contact with the fabric.
- Clear the shaver regularly to prevent lint buildup.
Once pills have been removed, handle your AirEssentials with care to prevent further pilling.
